Team 40: Jess Rowland is a sound artist, performer, and writer. Her recent escapades include The Disasters, a collection of short fiction, and an exhibit of Compositions for Paper Speakers at Dartmouth College. The theme of her night was "Fake News: What I Stopped Believing."
Team 50: Lois Thompson is a founding member of Comic Diversity, and has performed at Caroline's, Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy, & Stand-Up NY. She’s been producing & hosting Blacklight Comedy Show at the Brooklyn Moon for 5 years now, and she is looking forward to, for the 4th year in a row, producing & hosting the Brooklyn Pride Celebration Comedy Show. The theme of her night was "Time's Up."
Team 60: Janice Maffei is a playwright and poet. She serves on the board of The Lilly Awards, which celebrates women theatre artists, and is a co-founder of VisionFirst, a consulting firm that helps organizations to think forward, create change and get results. The theme of her night was "My First Time Saying No."
Team 70: Martha Reeves is the winner of the Jack Kerouac Literary Prize at the "Let's Celebrate Kerouac" Celebration in Lowell, Massachusetts and author of computer poems (including "Ready When You Are, Houston") in The Geek Squad Guide to Every Computer Glitch. Martha, a humorist, resides in New York and writes her own material. The theme of her night was "Time's Up."
Team 80: June Duffy became a lawyer at 50+ and retired 5 years ago as Bureau Chief in the office of the New York State Attorney General. Before that, she was, among other things: a theater person, teacher, proof-reader and paralegal, as well as the mother of four fantastic daughters. The theme of her night was "My Alter Ego."
