Join us as we celebrate the beauty of blooming — at any age, in any season, exactly where we’re meant to.
Our multigenerational storytellers take the Joe's Pub stage to share true tales of blooming: the late bloomer who finally found their calling; the dream that took root after years of patient tending; a confidence that blossoms in midlife; the unexpected growth that came from being planted somewhere new; or the moment you realized you’ve been blooming all along. Whether it’s slow and steady or sudden and spectacular, our wise and witty storytellers will remind us that it’s never too late to grow, flourish, and come fully into bloom.
Don't miss New York's best storytelling night, presenting true stories told by women and non-binary performers across the generations, all celebrating the patience, resilience, and radiant possibility of blossoming on your own timeline.
Featuring…
Team 20s: Christine Fiala is an actor, writer, and comedian living in Brooklyn. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Christine moved to the city seven years ago and has been performing, waiting tables and tour guiding ever since. In her spare time, she enjoys long chats with friends, NYC history, and getting her nails done.
Team 30s: Sabeen Sadiq is a New York–based stand-up comic, actor, and writer featured in Vogue, Timeout, and Brown girl magazine. Her comedy tackles her Muslim upbringing, family dysfunction, and unexpected identity twists. She has toured nationally and performed at major festivals, with her comedy album, Perfect Daughter, available wherever you hear your music.
Team 40s: Cat Coley is a story and speaker strategist who spent years hiding the most defining thing about her, and now helps leaders and entrepreneurs do the opposite - turning buried stories into the authority they didn't know they had. She is, by her own admission, her best case study.
Team 50s: Iris Bahr is a writer, actor and director. Credits include “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Hacks,” and her original series, “Svetlana.” She won a Liclee Lortel Award and is a two time Drama Desk nominee and UK Stage Award nominee. Her memoirs, “Dork Whore,” and “Macchu My Picchu” are in development as feature films.
Team 60s: Susan Sparks is a trial lawyer turned standup comedian and Senior Pastor of the historic Madison Avenue Baptist Church in NYC. Her work on humor and healing has been featured in the Oprah Magazine, the New York Times, and on such networks as ABC, CNN, and CBS.
Team 70s: Joan Weisblatt is a former lawyer and stand up comedian. She now spends most of her time taking care of other people whether they need it or not, and mostly when they don’t want it. You can find her “How to Clean During Covid” instructional videos on YouTube.
