This July, Generation Women celebrates the ones that stayed with us — our annual Best Of Show, featuring favorite storytellers hand-picked from the past few years of performances. Expect the funniest, the most heart-stopping, the most inspiring stories we've ever had the privilege of putting on the Joe's Pub stage. Escape the heat. Bring a multi-generational friend. Buckle up. Don't miss New York's best storytelling night.
Featuring…
👏 Team 20s: Kimberly Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American diaspora poet from Omaha, Nebraska, and a former PEN America Emerging Voices Fellow. She's the author of Here I Am Burn Me.
👏 Team 30s: Rhianna Jones is a storyteller and cultural comedian whose voice, like her Afro, is large and in charge. Through writing, acting, and spoken word, she explores love, race, and grief — and has been featured in the New York Times, on NPR, and beyond.
👏 Team 40s: Emmy Favilla is an essayist and editor with stints at Teen Vogue, CNN, BuzzFeed, and now Forbes. She wrote A World Without "Whom," and is at work on a memoir about her life with shelter dogs.
👏 Team 50s: Samantha Jones is an actor, solo performer, and improv director raised in the wilds of 1970s and '80s New York City. She just wrapped filming Netflix's Rabbit Rabbit, and her current project mines that upbringing — the humor, grit, and lifelong search to belong.
👏 Team 60s: Diane Britt-Smith is a NYC-based pro-aging advocate inspiring women 50+ to live boldly. After 40+ years as an international journalist, she pivoted at 58 into acting and modeling — challenging ageism and redefining visibility for the silver generation.
👏 Team 90s: June Duffy is a mother of four and a lawyer who retired as Bureau Chief of Litigation at the New York State Attorney General's Office. She hopes her stories help and amuse those who hear them.
😘 Hosted and created by Georgia Clark, author of Play It Again, Most Wonderful, and others.

“Generation Women gave me a deeper appreciation for the shared human experience of women. Race, color, sexual orientation and faith did not separate us, in fact, our stories brought us closer together.
It was beautiful.”
